Hi everyone, today I want to show you my favorite top ten WhatsApp tips and tricks. If you use WhatsApp, you’ll want to see these. Let’s check these out.
Tip #1: Share Live Location
- Open WhatsApp and go to a conversation.
- Click on the plus icon.
- Select the option to share your location.
- Choose the duration for sharing your location (e.g., 15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours).
- Confirm by selecting the duration (e.g., eight hours).
- Your location is now being shared.
- To review who can see your location, go to Settings, then Account, Privacy, and then Live Location.
- Review the list of people with access.
- To stop sharing, click on Stop Sharing.
Tip #2: Web and Desktop
- To use WhatsApp on the web:
- Go to the specified web address.
- Log in to your account.
- You’ll have your full WhatsApp experience, but note that voice and video calls are not supported.
- To use WhatsApp on the desktop app:
- Head to the website for the desktop app.
- Download and install the app.
- Log in to your account.
- You’ll have full functionality, including voice and video calls.
Tip #3: Keep Track of Important Messages
- Open a conversation with a message you want to track.
- Swipe to the side and mark the message as unread.
- This will serve as a visual reminder.
- To pin an important conversation:
- Swipe on the message.
- Select the option to pin it to the top.
- To star a specific message:
- Press and hold on the message.
- Select the option to star the message.
- To view starred messages:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Starred Messages.
- Review all starred messages.
Tip #4: Custom Sound
- Open WhatsApp and go to a conversation.
- Click on the person’s name.
- Select the option for Wallpaper and Sounds.
- Scroll to the bottom and set a custom tone for that individual.
- Choose one of the preset sound options.
Tip #5: Custom Wallpaper
- Open WhatsApp and go to a conversation.
- Click on the person’s name.
- Select the option for Wallpaper and Sounds.
- Choose a wallpaper from the available categories or select an image from your phone.
- Confirm your choice.
- To set a custom wallpaper for all conversations:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Chats.
- Click on Chat Wallpaper.
- Choose a wallpaper for all chats.
Tip #6: Mute Conversation
- Open the chat view.
- Swipe on a message.
- Click on the ellipsis (three dots).
- Select the option to mute.
- Choose how long you want to mute the conversation (e.g., 8 hours, 1 week).
- The chat will be muted, and a mute icon will appear.
- To unmute, repeat the process.
Tip #7: Disappearing Messages
- Open a chat.
- Click on the person’s name.
- Select Disappearing Messages.
- Choose the duration for which you want messages to disappear.
- To set a default for all conversations:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Account.
- Choose Privacy.
- Click on Disappearing Messages.
- Configure the default time for message deletion.
Tip #8: View Once
- Open a chat.
- Insert a photo you want to share.
- Click on the icon that changes to a 1, indicating the photo will be viewable only once.
- Send the photo.
- Note that recipients can still take screenshots, so use this feature with caution.
Tip #9: Read Receipts
- Go to Settings.
- Select Account.
- Choose Privacy.
- Toggle the read receipts option on or off.
- Remember, if you turn this off, you won’t be able to see read receipts from others either.
Tip #10: React and Reply to Messages
- Open a chat.
- Press and hold on a specific message.
- Choose an emoji to react to the message.
- To reply to the message:
- Press and hold the message again.
- Select the option to reply.
- Your reply will include the context of the original message.
