Hitman Freelancer : IO Interactive Launch New Hitman Freelancer Mode

New Game Mode

Two years after launching Hitman 3, the final chapter in the World of Assassination Trilogy, IO Interactive has revealed the cinematic launch trailer for the new Freelancer mode.

Hitman Freelancer, slated for release on January 26th, takes place sometime after the explosive Hitman 3 Epilogue. It’s set to be one of the biggest single-player updates in the game’s history. The new mode includes a customizable safehouse for Agent 47 and introduces a new style of strategic planning.

Gone are the days when 47 is supplied with necessary goods for carrying out assassinations. In Freelancer mode, the Hitman must instead prepare his contracts through his stash & by encountering NPCs that may act as help or hindrance.

New Rules with Same Playsytle

For the new campaign, players will return to 19 of the 22 locations in the series. This time, they must choose which order to play them in. After each mission, 47 returns to his safehouse; keeping in mind that if he leaves his weapons somewhere in the game world, they might be gone for good.

IOI interactive on Freelancer mode “Hitman: Freelancer puts the strategic planning of a mission into players’ hands. The game mode relies on randomized elements that are rolled independently of each other. It gives players all available information, but there’s no guarantee that an objective, for instance, is possible when on a mission.”
